Assistant Project Manager/Site Supervisor

Universal Realty Group is a Halifax-based property management company known for setting the standards of excellence in residential accommodation, development and commercial leasing. We are currently seeking a qualified, Project Assistant Manager/Site Supervisor

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending all job related meetings
  • Conducting a safety meetings at job sites and ensuring daily safety
  • Conducting contractor weekly meetings for each site
  • managing all activities and personal on the sites and reporting to Project Manager
  • Managing the subcontractors to ensure adherence to the project construction, schedule and the budget
  • Would begin as a floating site supervisor, would need to be able to go to multiple sites at the beginning.
  • Ability to understand building codes and ensure this is happening
  • obtaining quotes where required and negotiating
  • Understanding of plans
  • understanding of project estimating, budgets and timelines, and be able to prepare

Your qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience required
  • Well-groomed and professional.
  • Reliable and flexibility are considered and asset
  • Trustworthy / confidentiality
  • Writing Skills, Reporting Skills, Scheduling
  • Microsoft Office Skills, Organization, Time Management
  • Presentation Skills, Travel Logistics, Verbal Communication
