We are seeking proposals from qualified Safety Office providers to contribute to the success of our  construction projects. The selected vendor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being  of our team members on-site and will be responsible for the range of critical tasks outlined below.

Including an architecturally stunning trio of buildings featuring over 400 apartments, street-level retail, and a connecting pedestrian promenade leading to the lively Halifax waterfront; a distinctive residential development in a dynamic community undergoing exhilarating growth in addition to a stylish transformation from iconic downtown office building to urban living at its finest. These are just a glimpse of the exciting projects entering the development phase.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Safety Manual Preparation:  

• Develop and prepare a comprehensive safety manual tailored to the specific requirements of our construction sites.  

Weekly Site Visits and Reports:  

• Conduct weekly site visits to assess and report on the overall safety conditions, identifying areas for improvement and compliance.  

Safety Issue Resolution:  

• Assist in promptly addressing and resolving any safety issues that may arise during the construction process.  

Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Assistance:  

• Provide valuable support in dealing with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Professional Expertise:  

• Demonstrated experience and expertise in providing safety office services for construction projects.  

Safety Manual Development:  

• Proven ability to develop and prepare comprehensive safety manuals tailored to the specific needs of construction sites.  

Site Inspection Proficiency:  

• Strong proficiency in conducting thorough site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and providing recommendations for improvement.  

Issue Resolution Skills:  

• A track record of effectively addressing and resolving safety issues in a timely and efficient manner.  

OH&S Compliance Knowledge:  

• In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations and  standards, with the ability to assist in compliance matters.  

Communication and Reporting:  

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide detailed and clear reports, both written and verbal.
